Killington Wrap up & Report

Well - it's taken me this long (and a trip home and then out to Whitefish) to get my mind around the Ride weekend in VT. By now those of you that weren't there have maybe heard the tales - rain, cold, traffic, hills, potholes, "road snakes".....you name it! And here's the thing - that's all true! This was in many ways the most challenging Ride I've done in the 5 years I've been at this which makes it all that much more remarkable when you consider the smiles on the faces of the riders, staff and volunteers at the finish line and at dinner Saturday night!

Problems? Sure, there were some. A new venue, the biggest Ride ever - how could there not have been?

Have we gotten some "constructive" criticism? Yup - and some of it's been damn good and well worth listening to.

I wanted to thank all of you that helped us out in the Bike Room - the fact that it ran so well @ "crunch time" speaks well for you and your teams. I wanted to thank all of you for putting in a long days work helping our riders arrive @ the finish safe, sound and smiling. (and dripping, shivering, etc) I wanted to especially thank any of you that were wearing a coach jersey for the 1st time - welcome to the team and congrats for having your 1st Ride be such an epic!

It was, as always, an honor and a pleasure to ride alongside you all. Thanks again and see you soon!
