MOVIE TIME!!!!!

On Thursday night of last week over 200 hundred people packed a local theatre in Grand Rapids to enjoy the world premiere of "More Than a 100 Miles / Riding to Cure Diabetes" a 45 minute documentary on the 2008 Ride to Cure season as seen through the eyes of the West Michigan team. It's very well done (I will admit to a bit of bias there), features an original soundtrack by local musicians and lots of great footage from Asheville and Death Valley.

You can get the link to the trailer from our Team Blog (www.jdrfwestmichiganride.blogspot.com) to get a feel for it.

I really think it'd be a great way to give potential riders, donors or even Chapter staff a good picture of what this Ride Program is all about.

I bet you'll recognize lotsa the folks in the flick too! (Aly! Trish! Tim! Brock!)

Contact the producer (and 4 time DV rider) for details on how to get your hands on your very own DVD copy. tom@scheidelgroup.com

Gotta go try and duck the paparazzi now - see ya!

  1. Someone mentioned not too long ago that this might be a cool thing to play on the buses that get people from airports to ride sites this year...and I think that's an AWESOME idea...could we make that happen?

  2. Absolutely! Be sure we have some copies prior to the Ride and we will be sure to get them in the hands of the drivers/operators. I think it is a great idea!
